ProFoam is environmentally considerate. The homes and buildings employing this innovative construction system use no clay (red) bricks, cement blocks or wood. Further, locally-made materials, cement (for plaster), steel wire mesh and expanded polystyrene foam are used in the manufacturing and construction processes. When the ProPanel Fence System was first used in the U.S., the environmental considerations were not as extreme as they are today. However, wood was and is becoming more and more expensive and the environmentalists were having a considerable impact on the construction industry. Today, the management team at ProFoam knows they are environmentally correct. Wood is scarce worldwide and its use is being discouraged throughout the building industry, for both cost and environmental concerns. Unlike conventional construction which uses block, wood and metal frame methods of construction, the ProPanel System leaves no waste. When the project is completed, there is nothing to clean up. Everything has been used in the construction process. In the United States and well as in other nations, environmentalists are creating much opposition to the use of wood in homes and other structures. There are many arguments in favor of their theories. One main point stressed by environmentalists is the destruction of the rain forests, which is believed to be a significant cause of the global warming trend and will destroy the ozone layer which is a protector from exposure to the rays of the sun which cause skin cancer. Another argument often used by environmentalists is that the removal of forests causes land erosion which destroys good land and interferes with nature's watershed.
